Growing up, Lesa lived in Florida, Maine and on Grand Bahama Island, where her father worked in the hotel industry. After getting married, she lived for several years in California, where her two sons were born, before returning to Florida to be closer to family. In 1998, she moved to northern Michigan “to get out of the city” and joined JLA in 2002.
She is a devoted grandma to her two granddaughters, Eevee and Willow, and a passionate advocate for educational and cultural inclusion for children and adults with autism.
Lesa is a fitness buff and enjoys cooking, baking bread and organizing. She loves all things Ikea and visits the Swedish retailer as often as possible.
