Brian earned his Post-Professional Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy. As part of his program, he studied abroad in Warsaw, Poland at Warsaw University of Technology. His design muses include Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies van der Rohe, Tadao Ando and Renzo Piano.

Brian grew up in a military family—and he has the passport to prove it. Born in Philadelphia, he has also lived in Waukegan, IL; Seoul, South Korea; Fort Riley, KS; Washington, DC; Berlin, Germany; Omaha, NE; and Canton, MI.

A budding aviation enthusiast, Brian hopes to get his private pilot’s license in the near future. His other interests include smoking meat, duck hunting and camping. His extended family hails from Wisconsin, and he is a staunch Green Bay Packers fan.

His recent binge-watches include Outlander, The Witcher, Harry Potter (again), Game of Thrones (again), Dr. Who, and Top Gear, as well as “any and all documentaries.”

Brian currently lives in Rochester Hills, Michigan with his wife Deborah and their three children—Benjamin (16), Brenna (9), and Derek (5).
